Caryn is a licensed architect with over 20 years of varied industry experience with non-for-profit and affordable housing organizations, institutional owners, private developers, and design firms. A skilled communicator, Caryn excels in team building and client-facing relations, utilizing her energy and enthusiasm to ensure a productive balance between public safety, project efficiency, and client goals. Goal-oriented, Caryn is adept at ensuring project success by managing critical milestones, schedules, and budgets. Her experience across multiple sectors has exposed her to diverse building and construction issues, knowledge she now brings to bear in devising and implementing practical and affordable solutions to complex building enclosure problems.
Skilled in assessing deterioration, damage, and water infiltration problems in existing building enclosures, she has been certified by the NYC Department of Buildings as a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI). Caryn is actively involved in mentoring young architects on the path to licensure. She has worked on many building enclosure projects, such as One World Trade and Moynihan Station, as well as capital improvements for 11 high rise affordable senior housing buildings and, as owner’s rep, the master planning for the WILF campus at Yeshiva University.
We look forward to Caryn being a member of the AAAE team for many years to come!
