Engine House Floor Slab Assessment & Repair
Anchor 1

The Station #4 Firehouse was built in 1916.

Over the years through salt and water intrusion and additional loading of new and heavier engines. The main floor slab had deteriorated and the structural integrity became compromised.

Work on this project included new concrete and steel support columns which were formed in the basement to reinforce the main engine floor slab. New topping slab and water proofing membrane was installed throughout the main floor level.

Complete design documents and administration of the construction contract were performed for the owner.
